Apache Junction, Arizona---Miles and miles of trails all
with in easy driving distance. Many trails are in the
historic Superstition Mountains where you can still hope
to find the lost gold mine. Winter riding temperatures
average around 70 degrees. There is also many miles of
riding across the valley in the desert. When I brought a
horse out here for the first time--I soon discovered the
riding is tough enough that if you ride every day you can
wear out a horse.
I also learned you need to replace shoes every
6 weeks if you ride with the group I ride with.
